New Finance App

Launched on January 16, 2025 by Flooben Ltd., Orbit aims to simplify subscription management. In just a few months, it’s making $9K/month, but has fewer than 5K downloads.

Orbit is available as Orbit Plus ($9.99) and Lifetime ($24.99–$29.99).

Right now, the app has just two TikTok accounts, pulling in 56.7K views so far.

Despite having just two accounts, Orbit is trying out different content formats.

First Format

Each video uses the same app screenshot as the background.

Over it, there’s a cutout from a well-known clip of a public figure.

They all start with a hook to catch attention.

The original audio plays, even though it has nothing to do with the app—but that’s the joke. The speech ends up matching the visual in a funny, unexpected way.

Most-used hooks:

  • “when I see another free trial charge hit”
  • “that feeling when you forget about yet another free trial”
  • “me after forgetting to cancel my free trials again”
  • “the one time more I realize I paid for that free trial I forgot about”

These didn’t really take off—top video pulled just 892 views.

AI-Generated Videos

These are videos made with AI creators, featuring headshots showing surprised reactions.

Each one kicks off with a hook about realizing they’ve been overspending on subscriptions.

These got more views than earlier posts but still pull in few likes or comments.

Slideshow format

These videos use a slideshow format with Pinterest-style illustrations.

The first slide always leads with a bold hook about how much people spend on subscriptions.

Slides 2 to 4 use different visuals, but the text often repeats across posts—like the second slide in one video showing the same hook as another.

@lunardrift is the newest account and sticks to the same slideshow setup, reusing familiar hooks. After the first image, the rest are just phone-taken photos of the app.

The account’s top video went viral by showing five subscription traps to avoid, with each slide calling out a different tip for saving money.

The video has 1.5K views but only got 16 likes, which could mean the views aren’t fully organic.

It looks like one person is managing both accounts. The content is easy to make and gets reused a lot, which speeds things up, but engagement is still low, even though the app itself is already making good money.
