Katch 18M views Cartoon Story format but…

What we didn’t cover was a format they tested in June/July that pulled in over 18M views: cartoon story videos.

This format worked really well for views and engagement, but for some reason, they stopped. Instead, they switched the account to similar story slideshows, just using real people or Pinterest-style images.

That shift shows that even though the cartoons featured the app, they didn’t drive much traffic or sign-ups.

Since then, they’ve shut it down and doubled down on UGC marketing.
