Delayed Algorithmic Echos: How this 30-day-old video just drove $3K in revenue

I’ve coined a new term, “Delayed Algorithmic Echos,” and it’s inspired by this 30-day-old video that just drove $3K in revenue.

This all happened organically:

This Spanish-speaking video, for one of our apps, performed great the first time on April 20. It garnered over 127,000 views in one day.

It also generated a bit of revenue back then.

And then suddenly, a few days ago, it went mega viral again. It did over 800,000 views in just 3 days. Those views were extremely prolific as they generated $3,000 in revenue for the app:

Once again, it shows me that the algorithm is a black box where anything can happen. And to throw as many videos into it as possible.

This is what I now call a ‘Delayed Algorithmic Echo’.

This video was originally pushed in Spain (due to the language), then the delayed echo happened all over Latin America.

The other anomaly in algo social organic is the ‘Search Effect’, where a video becomes an “SEO” asset:

Looking at this AI slide generation app:  Every single day for the past 6 months, it’s been doing 500 to 1K views.

This is now an extremely valuable video that’ll drive high-quality traffic to that website.

Could it be the captions? Or people saving it to a specific bookmark folder?

I won’t pretend I know how we managed to position this video on TikTok SEO.

What I’d say is:

You should throw as many shots as you can, knowing both of delayed virality and the potential to position yourself as an “SEO” video.
