This app, earning $30K MRR, just hired 12 ambassadors and earned 12.8M views with a very unique faceless carousel format.
After a rebranding in 2022 and a few founder videos, Zest is betting on aggressive growth strategies for summer 2025.
If you haven’t heard of them, Zest cooking is an app that allows you to “flirt with your inner chef” and to “learn the hows and whys of making amazing food.”

Zest made $30K MRR and got over 30K downloads last month.
But they want more. Between the end of April and the start of May, they hired 12 TikTok ambassadors:

Their most viral ambassador video got 27K views. Can you guess the hook?

The Duolingo hack is back.

Still, these accounts are just getting started. 98% of all views (88.5M) come from these 3 accounts:

The account, tt@zestcookingapp, was created six months ago and already has 12.5M views.
They found a banger faceless format they’ve been exhausting repeatedly:
Carousel posts that are recipe quizzes.
For example:
“Can you season this soup correctly?”
Bang. 9.1M views just like that.

I never knew seasoning a soup could trigger such engagement, but I was wrong.

So they’re just doubling down on this across their main accounts on Instagram and TikTok. Still posting founder-led headshot videos and mixing with these faceless carousels.

When you crack the code, stick with it. Use it while it lasts, in as many accounts as you can.
