Widgify briefly took the #1 spot on the App Store.
Widgify, Mico, iScreens <> Locket, Yope, CoupleJoy
The cute lock screen widget war is raging.
Everyone is after the most retentive real estate on your phone ????

I’m seeing many more TikTok strategies from cute widget apps those days.
I wrote about Locket, Yope and Couplejoy here:

Mico, Widgify competitor, also ranks high (#5).
Both Widgify and Micro are using similar strategies with high aesthetic creators.
There is a massive niche of Korean/Japanese/Asian aesthetic videos like:
Widgify and Mico main accounts are respectively generating 3M and 38M views running faceless high aesthetic content.

Mico seems to have at least one other dedicated Mico Widget account tt@phone.beautifier.
The account started as something else. They probably bought the creator with a retainer after a first collab.
Some posts probably have been ad boosted on this one.

Proving that the content format works, Licowa tt@licowa.app, a similar app started recently (few weeks) already doing decent with a similar strategy on a new account.

Widgify isn’t running more dedicated accounts (or i couldn’t find them) but doing an increasing amount of influencer partnerships.
Many many videos from micro, and even larger creators are promoting the widget app in this niche.

Another interesting niche to leverage is the “Phone Refresh” trend.
This account is likely running a two-in-one business. First one is a regular phone refurbishment service, which fuels the second biz: generating millions of views on TikTok.
Note that tt@jessica.ranngel in this video has a Widgify link in her bio.
Imo, every phone or device repair shop should consider starting an account like this.
Another interesting faceless content strategy is accounts like this tt@mo0nlunar.
Every edit is similar and the concept is highly scalable (in terms of production costs etc…)
Account is just pushing different apps every video (with Mico being the most prominent).
You can run this type of account as a company, and/or create them as an individual and net the collabs.

Are more examples of aesthetic iphone ugc accounts. Promoting various things + d2c affiliates.
These are potential scaling strategies for couple widget apps like Locket, Yope, CoupleJoy, etc.
I think other social apps with incredible levels of design, like Amo/Bump, could absolutely crush it by creating content in this TT niche.
There have to be ways to automate and scale these faceless aesthetic videos.
One person working full-time could produce maybe 40 to 50 videos a day. With an offshore PH editor, costs could stay low.
From there, you can launch multiple accounts and scale, the same way aesthetic study-related TikTok accounts are doing.
