e-com TikTok madness

Scroll through your FYP for five minutes and you’ll probably find one: a bracelet that holds water, AI glasses that ace tests, or a ChatGPT pen that “does your homework.”

They all share the same DNA: they’re not just products, they’re formats. We’ll call them weird e-com hits: hybrid gadgets built for TikTok virality first, functionality second.

You’ll find them under the same tag: #tiktokmademebuyit.

But look closely, and you’ll notice they all share the same rhythm one product, one setup, one story told hundreds of times.

The Loop Economy

Here’s the deal. They’re not trying to build brands, they’re trying to build loops.

Every product gets its own POV universe, repeated dozens of times.

  • LensGPT Pen → “Teachers banned phones, but not this.”
  • LingoLens Glasses → “POV: Your glasses answer the questions 🤓💀.”
  • SipBand → “Runners are so hard to gift 💧.”
  • MyGripFit → “Your newest gym gloves.”
  • JasyFit → “2024 — 103kg.”

No editing. No sound design. Just text overlays, the same setup, and the same dopamine loop.

The brilliance isn’t in the video,  it’s in the repetition.

E-com brands like these nail the problem-to-solution equation for TikTok attention spans.

Since their products are often unusual (to say the least), a quick demo of how they work is usually the best stop-scrolling hook.

Then, feeding off the same phenomenon, they’re particularly good at addressing people’s comments or concerns (often staged) to endlessly recycle the same clips while responding to specific questions.

The Repetition Flywheel

Let’s look at the numbers.

These aren’t random viral hits, they’re content systems.

And the data proves it:

Each e-com page operates like a content machine, designed around a single visual loop.

Across all formats, you see one thing clearly. For each product, there is a single correspondent POV.

Bonus points if yours strikes a funny chord.

Btw, we’ve collected all these accounts and more on this Shortimize collection, head over there if you wanna find more examples. We’ll keep updating it as we go.
