Watch out for your app name

68M+ views but less than 5K downloads.

A simple, fixable issue is preventing this AI app from converting views into downloads.

Meet Persona AI.

Another app known for creating an “AI version of you”.

The app uses AI to create realistic photos.

Persona AI was launched in September 2024 and is stuck at <5K downloads.

Which is surprising, giving the fact that they run a solid social growth engine.

The app has made over 68M views, 46K shares and 85K saves.

Their views come from only two accounts, which went viral at different times.

Main content format

The getpersona_ai account reached 56M views, mostly in December 2024.

They found a faceless winning format and used it to their advantage.

They used their app to transform streamer Kai Cenat into different characters.

The format is simply a before and after picture with a fade-in effect.

These videos blew up in December, but died down in 2025.

UGC creator account

Recently, at the end of August, they hired their first and only UGC account.

Page reached 12M+ views by consistently doing the same format & hook.

She has mastered the “shocked face” format with the “HELP” hook.

Her most viral video is very recent, uploaded on September 26.

HELP!! I told him I play soccer so which AI photo looks the most real? 6.4M

Hook

I told this guy I like “x” so which AI photo looks most real?

Format

Shocked face creator asking viewers to help choose the best app AI picture

Engagement pattern

The entire videos are about asking the audience for advice.

Replies are a mix of personal opinions and “expose” on her for asking the same thing in all her videos.

Even though the videos look authentic, interest in replicating the images is not strong.

Conversion friction

Another big issue is their app name.

They share the same name with an older, mainstream AI app.

This likely causes the TikTok viewers to install the mainstream app instead of their app.

Persona AI built strong virality but lost clarity.

Its content engine works, 68 M views from only two accounts prove it.

Yet by sharing its name with an older, established app, it created friction at the final step.

Users search, but install the wrong Persona.
