8 viral hits you missed this week

Save My GPA

This AI study tool has gone hugely viral just 6 days ago, with yet another lecture hall video.

This 41 seconds clip pulled in 8.9M views, 869K likes and over 14K comments.

Featuring a female creator arguing with her “professor”, a hook with a skull emoji, and a website name drop towards the end.

Summary App

AI tools for job interviews are also going strong on TikTok lately. This one, by an app called Summary, has reaped 4.7M views and over 200K likes just 4 days ago.

The video is recorded from the creator’s desk, while she conducts a (fake) job interview. Then she’s accused of using an AI tool and shares her screen to prove them wrong…

Budget Bestie

Personal finance app Budget Bestie might have found a winning slideshow format this week.

“Tour my savings” opening hook, followed by a bunch of slides, each related to a different area of her life. Each slide features a background image (repurposed) plus a cheeky screenshot from the app.

It pulled 2.2M views, 210K likes and over 900 comments.

Playbacks

AI “corporate life” tool Playbacks has also stroke a winning chord this week with a 7-sec UGC clip.

The headshot video was paired with a long hook, opening with “I’m depressed on my 5-9 because of my 9-5” and followed by a request for tips on how to survive the corporate life.

The result: 1.8M views, 101K likes, over two thousand comments.

Turbo AI

Study app Turbo AI is still minting views from their proven format “what’s your GPA” circle interviews. This week, they had two major hits.

First one was on TikTok, with a slight variation of this format → “What’s your SAT”. It pulled 1.7M views, but engagement was a bit below their average.

On Instagram, one ambassador has just pulled a good old trick: eating while talking to the camera. And guess what: 1.3M views, 87K likes, 260 comments.

Tone AI

Pilates app Tone AI has posted yet another problematic but viral video.

“My weight starts with 4, ofc she hates me” over a silent clip of a creator showing her ““pilates body”” on camera for five seconds.

This post reached 1.4M views, 149K likes and 1.7K comments.

Cerca Dating

Cerca dating app printed 1.2M views, 103K likes and over 2K comments on a short story time, headshot video.

The winning trick was the creator mentioning she had one of those “lababa things”, referring to the recent Labubu fever that’s been taking over Gen Z on TikTok for a few months now.

Yik Yak

Social app Yik Yak has finally surrendered to UGC content last month, and they’re already collecting some solid views.

Three days ago, this video got 1.3M views, 169K likes and over 800 comments.

Turns out the UGC clip plus long hook combo might be here to stay.
