This whole app category is barely being tapped into

I came across four apps crushing it on TikTok, and they all share one thing in common:

They’re Apple Watch apps.

These apps are all leaning on UGC on TikTok and they’re doing surprisingly well. It’s a totally under-served niche, and this is actually the first time I’ve seen Apple Watch apps promoted that way.

What’s interesting is that the same creators are running accounts for all of these apps, which makes it feel like they could be coming from one developer. Two of them are under the same developer ID, but the rest aren’t.

A clear sign that this space is still new and untapped is how well even simple hooks like this are performing:

They’re keeping it super simple with hooks. In the second row of videos, she even leans on, “I bought an Apple Watch just for this app.” They’re also pushing plenty of content in Spanish.

I firmly believe there is a lot of opportunity here to create and promote Apple Watch apps through short-form content.
