Coconote AI (9mo-old):
> $200K MRR & 40K/mo downloads
> 259,421,033 total views
The UGC/AI Study playbook these apps keep copy & pasting (and winning):
Coconote AI (love the name) was released in April last year
It’s AI note-taking meets gaming b-roll footage, aka “Pdf to brain rot” concept which they turned into a landing page:

With CTA to download the app the website is getting 19.5K daily organic visitors.
They’re running content on TikTok, IG Reels and (a bit) on Youtube Shorts:

In just 7 accounts, they reached 259,421,033 views. 5 out of the 7 are UGC accounts, fully dedicated and run by student creators.
Last Nov 18th, their views peaked with one single TikTok video (tt@sidstudiesadhd):

That went insanely viral => 41M views, 4.5M likes, 10.7K comments & 535.7K bookmarks.
How? They rode the #womeninmalefields trend at the right time and in the right way.
Hook: “Oh he don’t wanna read all that?” + recording laptop screen
And check how they included the CTA:
Caption: “this trend is killlliing me lmao (website is Coconote ai for those of you asking)”
It’s “UGC-like”, but direct enough to convert views into downloads (+ using a trending hashtag).
On ig@coconote.app, they repeat formats straight out of the AI’s study tool playbook (LITERALLY):
1. Hot teacher hook
They use a super attractive guy as “professor” to spark views
They have 30+ videos with this exact same footage, some went viral (like this one) => 4M views, 18K likes, 500 comments
But THIS is the crazy part:
This guy is the exact same guy on Turbolearn’s posts.
Remember them?
Clearly they’re all repurposing the same videos from each other (or maybe they “took” them from some other account at first):
Similar to how they’re doing their second format:
2. Lecture hall recording
Over the shoulder and in-class recordings
Familiar again? That’s because it’s the exact same playbook used by Answer AI (and Chart AI, Quizard AI, etc etc)
Don’t fret over being original, because you’ll probably be copied anyways (or would be better off copying off of someone else’s good strategy.)
Sometimes even using the exact same video and your own app edit.
Focus on great hooks, effective CTAs and keeping engagement high.
Simplify everything else down to the minimum effort.
